Chaz 3's month post treatment PT/CT scan is clear and he is now in 'metabolic remission'. Sadly he is complaining about the pain inflicted by an enthusiastic physical examination by the ENT specialist ...guess you can't have everything ;-).

I know we ain't out of the woods yet, but it is the best news we could have hoped for at this point in time and at least we can try and resume 'normal life' for a while.

Many thanks to all you posters who have been of so much support both directly and indirectly - I have found searching past posts on this site extremely useful over the past few months. Thanks everyone for posting and sharing their experiences. I can't imagine dealing with this horrible disease and the horrendous effects of treatment in isolation without being able to find comfort from others on the internet...how did patients manage 20 years ago?

(I have posted a couple of pics of Chaz and I at my recent graduation on the community boards.)

Thanks again

Cath

Hi Cath. That's really good news for you and Chaz, result. Like you say, at least you can resume a bit of normality now. Well done on the recent graduation too. Hagg.

Well done Cath - delighted to hear Chaz's good news. It's 2 years since Neil had a similar 'all clear' and in the past hour we have returned from his latest 4 month check-up and all is well - HOORAY.
Love to everybody
Margaret

Hi Cathy

That is really great news. My doc tends to be over-enthusiastic during exams, too, but if I say anything he just says "ah, shut up. You know you like it."

Continued good luck to both of you!

Julia
