Hi, everyone,
Just wondered if any of you caught the Radio 4 programme "Between Ourselves" in which two highly eminent max-fac/oral surgeons were interviewed. If you didn't, I highly recommend that you listen to it again on the Radio 4 website (it will be on there for the next week). It was fascinating to hear these two talented surgeons talk about their work. They both came across as highly dedicated men - one of them referred to their work as "the best job in the world" - and I'm sure most of you will relate to lots of the stories they tell about working with head and neck cancer patients. I was so impressed by it that I listened to the repeat at 9.30 in the evening. It was very interesting to hear about the developments in the pipeline for surgery of this kind too. Once again, I felt great gratitude and admiration for these surgeons, who, like my own consultant, show such dedication and work so hard. Would be interested to hear other people's views. Sue |

Hi Sue
I caught the programme too and did a posting to Dr Joshi/Anyone else-Advice desperately needed I was amazed to hear that after some years of being unable to swallow a small op made it possible to eat and drink again and I immediately thought of Ananath, so hope he reads this. Angie |

Two of the world's most eminent facial surgeons discuss the finer points of their work.
Click to listen to the broadcast: "Between Ourselves" I personally know both Prof Jatin Shah and Dr Iain Hutchinson and they are both great people. Do listen to their stories.
