Hello All,
I've not done a runner, I'm just back in hospital again.
Yep, after the last time (few weeks ago)I was told there was no infection and given an appoitment for the pain clinic (duly visisted).
I visited the site a few times just to try to catch up with all the postings but also trying to catch up with homework for college-well- had no time to say hi.
Was getting washed for bed one night last week and, whoosh, sinus opened and puss Ugh went flying over the bathroom.
Made coffee the next morning and of course the usual, first gob full came out of the side of my face.
I'm now sitting on my bed waiting for them to come and get me for an MRI scan. On Friday they are going to try to get a probe into the sinus. Big Grin, lovely, just lovely!*!*!!****!!*
The plan is to try to fix the sinus so it doesn't open again. I don't know how and I dont think I really want to know, I just wish they would fix it once and for all.
Anyway, my eldest brought in my laptop so at least I can keep up with you guys.

HI Susie
I am sooooooooo pleased to see/hear you back on the site, although it sounds pretty awful for you.
Your cheery disposition has been sadly missed and I have been wondering how you are getting along and where you were. I logged on latish last night and saw that you were in the system but was falling asleep so didn't get to see your post til this morning (10pm ish, I guess over there!).
I hope they soon get things sorted for you. We're down here sending all our love and positive vibes.
Honestly, I'm so happy to hear from you! What a great start to the day (it's 8.12am here)
Lots of love
Deborah

Hi,

Winnie, Hi, college is not so bad, the study is hard, the medication does not help concentration at all but at least it keeps my brain occupied and stops me from cracking up when things go wrong with my face.

Hi Debs, missed you too, x x x, how are you doing. Are you going to get a hot Christmas?
I've really missed the updates on Trev's bum too! (Thinking off hot things!! Razzer )

My chops are not so bad really, it's just a pain to be back in here again. It's the same sinus that opened the other times. I really hope that it closes by itself or they fix it once and for all. I do not want a gaping hole in my face for Christmas. I missed my dinner last year because I couldn't eat, I don't want to miss it this year. (Can't stop thinking about food, I've been fasting since last Thursday and I'm starving, thank goodness I still have the peg. It's a pain though, I finally managed to put on two pounds and now I've lost them and more with not being able to eat this week. It took me so long to put them on too. Mad)(Whinge over)
All in all the form is not too bad. If they keep me here long enough I'll not have to do any Christmas Shopping, now there's a lovely idea! Someone else can cook the dinner this year too, I'm going to play the invalid, ha ha.

OOOhh Doctor, is that a date, I've come over all funny!! Wink

Update-didn't get my MRI today, they forgot about me, how could they, I mean, I ask you, me! Probably tomorrow or Friday now. I don't think I'll be having the sinus probe jobby on Friday either. The sinus has closed slightly and not discharging any gunge much today, so I'm not going to let them stick a probe in it and open it up again.
Will keep you posted.

SusieR xx

P.P.S. Will be in Harrogate 15th-18th Feb (sisters wedding) should have a few hours free while I'm there and am going to hire a car at the Airport so will have transport.
Anyone close enough to make me a brew if I visit? (Not that I'm cheeky or anything, inviting myself!!!!)

Hi Suse, Lovely to hear from you, have been thinking about you wondering who you were keeping entertained. The lengths that some people will go to to avoid christmas shopping and cooking is amazing!

Good luck with the scan - look forward to the next update.

Hi Angie,
Bah, Humbug, who needs Christmas anyway! if I don't spend on presents maybe I'll be able to do some travel this summer. (Invites anyone-cheeky cow that I am. ha ha). Big Grin.

Had my scan this morning, not having sinugram [?] tomorrow because sinus is healing by itself a bit. Op probably on Monday so if everything goes OK I should be home next week sometime.
I sincerely hope this will sort out this once and for all. I have been given a tentative date in May to start some cosmetic stuff and if this is not sorted I won't be able to start that. I really would like to get the cosmetic stuff started because I know it's going to take a long time. I can't go around frightening Old Ladies, Children and Dogs forever. (Well maybe the Dogs!!!) Whoops, just kidding Chelle if you read this.
Love Susie

Hi Susie
Now, you've had an invite to our place ~ what's holding you back? My back is killing me at present so I could really do with a massage.

Hi Debs,
Me visiting you might not be such a pie in the sky idea. My sister in law e mailed me and gave me earache about not visiting them.
If Ananth can travel from India to Barcelona with a peg, well I can travel from Ireland to Australia.
I'm going to suss out prices in the new year. I might even be able to wangle student travel!!!!
It would not be till July or August if I do travel but you never know you might get to meet me yet. If I'm going to my bro's I certainly will visit you aswell.
