I didn't realise my Great Aunty Daphnie (my grannys sister) died from mouth cancer about 10 years ago. She started with a white sore in her mouth that developed into a cauliflower type growth. Concequently she had an op, and they took away part of her tongue. Unfortunately there wasn't clear margins and her cancer returned. Part of her jaw was removed and replaced with a titanium implant. She also had R/T. Still she had reocurance. Finaly she had radium rods inserted into the tumour site. I know she lived with her condition for many years. My gran is therefore trying to get her side of the family to sponsor me for a walk & H&N cancer hits home for them. -~*Great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds*~- ...Albert Einstein

Dave & Sue, she was a strong lady. In fact, unfortunately for Amir, ALL of the woman in my family have a reputation for being pig headed & bloody minded! My great gran was a suffrajet! I just uploaded a pic of a phew of us onto the album -~*Great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds*~- ...Albert Einstein
