I’m going to a doc but cant for a few weeks, not that I do not want to sooner but I am going out of the country and noticed a bump under my tong. I started looking over the net and found this forum....I hope its not a bother but if anyone has an idea to either put my mind at ease or put a fire under me.....please post.

Well here it is, under my left side of my tong I have a bump under the skin. The skin on top of the bump is normal color...but as I may slightly squeeze the area a hard white structure is under the skin.

In the past I had a stone in my left saliva gland, the same side, which just went away...I was thinking this was that stone that moved in the path of the duct and just got stuck.

I smoke and will quite very soon and do have a family history of mouth cancer. I know I know I have to go to the doctor and get this checked out .Really I do. But for now, for three weeks I will be walking around on vacation thinking about this. I understand this is not a diagnosis. I would have a big thank you for any ideas; also there is no open sore at all. You can not even see the structure by the color of the skin. It is just raised a bit. Also should I go on vacation. I have not been on one in a few years.

Thanks again for any posts.

If you are not happy with your doctor's diagnosis or feel that you may still have a serious problem then get the opinion of an oncologist or ENT surgeon at your local hospital. This is the only way to be sure wether or not you have any form of Cancer. Regular doctors can easily overlook the signs which are obvious to someone who specialises in oral cancers.
