Hello David

Heathrow Steve has had surgery to treat the osteoradionecrosis of his jaw.

The mandible can be reconstructed with a bone graft (fibula free flap) and titanium bone plate. You will find the articles Osteoradionecrosis of the mandible: Etiology, prevention, diagnosis and treatment and Osteoradionecrosis of the Mandible helpful in understanding the treatment planned.

Best wishes

Hi David

Good attitude and confidence in your doctor are probably the most important things to have at this point.

Hoping for the best for you and yours.

Julia
