This message board will be undergoing a major upgrade soon. I don't know exactly when but the forum will be closed for maintenance soon. So just keep coming back and trying and hopefully everything will run smoothly.

Hopefully, you will all notice the difference instantly... but I'll post another message when the upgrade has been done.

This is important!

So please make sure everyone on this board is talking about this and knows about this.

The message board is going to be upgraded very soon, probably on Monday 8 November. The message board will be closed during this period. Now, when it's reactivated... I'm told:

Regarding logging in....that will be a little different and perhaps now is the time to prepare your users for a bit of the change that will occur. When they try to log into the new board for the first time, they will be asked if they have a """groupee""" account. They should say NO (assuming they have not already registered with groupee, which is our universal login system). They will then be prompted for an e-mail address and a password (of their choice). So when you create your new account on the new message board, you will be asked do you have an EXISTING account too? So say YES to that part and enter the username/password that you use now.

Regarding the new message board, I hope it's not that confusing?

When the new message board is active:
1. Sign up with an email address and password for a """Groupee""" account - this will enable you to migrate between the message board, chat, etc potential other features later on. You may need to verify your email address.

2. If asked whether you have an existing account with RDOC / Mouth Cancer Foundation web site then say YES and enter your existing username/password.

3. Back to the good old days, I hope!

Looks like the Message Board upgrade is going to take place today (Tue 9 Nov)!

When it closes, it might be a day or so before the message board re-opens.

Watch this space! Once the new board is up and you create a new """groupee""" account, remember to associate your new """groupee""" account with your existing message board username/password!

I know this is getting tedious...

But it looks like the message board will now close on Wed 10th Nov. (it didn't happen today because of unforeseen hiccups :banghead: )
