GETTING CHEMO

Ok so most of you have seen my threads regarding my Dad.. Here is my question.. He is currently getting treatment in Boston USA but my parents have a house in Florida for the winter. Now my understanding is that chemo is chemo no matter where you get it. My dad has been depressed and if this is how its going to be from now on I think he should be able to get Chemo treatment in Florida right? Why not make it some what easier for him where he can be aroudn friends and family. I think being aroudn friends would help him more mentally then anything. Any thoughts?

Hello eyecandy

You could make arrangements for the same chemo treatment to be delivered in Florida. It just needs the oncologist in Boston to speak/write to the oncologist in Florida. I wouldn't anticipate a problem as long as the treatment is paid for by parties concerned (insurance?). Your Dad is best being with friends and family.

Best wishes

Thank you so much.. It just seems that the doctors dont like it when you go to other doctors.. I just have the feeling its all about $$$ when it comes to the insurance. Yes my parents have insurance. I know getting him to Florida would make him alot happier and give some outlook and hope that people around him do care.. I think at this time it would be mentally healthy for him to be around friends
