Thinking So, ... the word is often used to ask, "Does it matter?"

Well! I think that sometimes things do matter and sometimes they don't. Worrying about what happens to (one)self really doesn't because all is transition, but worrying about how we might affect others does!

If I am wrong, I will just say,"So?" Smiler

Best wishes

Dear Vinod,

I am really glad to read your reply to the "SO?" question. Its truly amazing how each one of us interprets just a common word so. let me quote what Shiela wrote. I think that was one of the best replies.
Quote:
The word 'SO' - it's the greatest leveller. A person says they are richer than me, more beautiful, more sucessful - SO? For all that, nature (or God if you have faith) cares nothing for this. We have no control over when or where we are born and for most of us, no control over how we die (suicide apart). We have no control over whether we, or a loved one, will get cancer or some other serious illness. The people who use this site are so diverse - rich, poor, young, old - the one thing that unites us is oral cancer, and this one thing makes a compassionate community.I know I am not immortal - SO? I know I am not pretty - SO? I just know that this illness has shown me an inner strength I never knew I had. I'm not sure if this is where you are coming from, Ananth, but think that SO can be a very empowering word. Thanks for the challenge!
Unquote.
As I said I recieved over three hundred replies though various sites and also my email contacts. I have mantained them very carefully. The idea is to get everyones permission and put it into the form of a book - dedicated to the kids at Cansupport. Any suggestions?
lots of love,
Ananth
