Terry,
Cancer is the worst thing you can hear, but those who say it is incurable should also know that there are many of us who are cancer free. Not cured, because in reality no cancer is cured. It can always come back, but so can many other things. I have to agree with Ananth to savor each moment that you are living and stop worrying about tomorrow. I was a lucky one, during my last bit with radiation I did reasonably well, exhausted and in some pain. But tolerable, even the chemo wasn't too bad. I was told at the beginning to always take my naseau medicine on time for chemo. Never forget it, I didn't and my naseau wasn't too bad. Never lost my hair either. The worst time for me was the weekends right after chemo. But I just muddled through it, cried some, but honestly that was more painful.
You are in the best place to be, my doctor sent my stuff their to be looked at and they agreed with her diagnosis and treatment plan. She is also one of the top 5 here in the states. Believe me, no one will want you to be in pain, they will help you. People in pain don't do as well. This will not be a cake walk, but it is survivable as you will find out.

Have faith in yourself, your doctors, and the people around you. You will be suprised what the human spirit can endure.

Leann

Hi Terry, I totally agree with Ananth (for once Roll Eyes)live for today whats tommorow got to bring who knows.
Be happy today I convice myself everyday but it does not always work out.
Yes we all get down but I think about good things I have had in my life and hope one day to have it again before I go.Physical pain eventually subsides but th metal anguish takes longer.
I was in total shock when I woke up in Hospital after my op, never thought I had to stay in Hospital shows how irrantinalones thinking can become when your stressed.
