After a fair ammount of chasing we eventually had a telephone call from GP, He told Ray he has a 6cm tumour in ascending colon,it isn't yet clear what is to happen now, we still haven't had any word from the consultant who ordered the scan.Could this new tumour be anything connected to the tongue cancer.Ray has tried to contact the consultants secretary, left 2 messages on her answer machine, but no replies to date.

Hello Carol
Sorry to hear that bit of news. The tumour could be a primary unrelated to the tongue cancer. Relax and wait to see the consultant for a detailed explanation of its management which as you know will depend on several things like where it is and if it is solitary, etc. Taking things one at a time, staying positive all the way, that is all we can and should do.
