Hi everyone

I've not been about much recently but I thought I'd pop back on and let you know that I'm doing OK since my husband passed away of Mouth Cancer in December last year.

I'm back at work, p/t only for the time being, and working hard at fundraising for the Mouth Cancer Foundation in my spare time.

If anything good can come out of my husband's early death (he was 34) then it is increased awareness of Mouth Cancer so that other people don't have to go through what he, and so many of you are going through.

His funeral raised lots of money (see the press release in the media section of this site) and
I'm currently planning a car-boot sale. My mother-in-law is doing a table-top sale at the end of the month with all proceeds going to the Mouth Cancer Foundation.

One of my late-husband's friends ran the Great West Run last weekend (he himself had bowel cancer last year) and has donated half of his sponsorship to the MCF (the other half to Cancer Research UK)

And my dear mother is also doing her bit. She went round her local dental surgeries, with leaflets and this website address. She even told one off for selling Breast Cancer Awareness ribbons on the reception desk, not Mouth Cancer ones!!!

I think of you all regularly, and hope that we can all unite in our fight against this evil disease.

Mouth Cancer has taken the love of my life from me. Now it is time to FIGHT BACK!!!

with love

spouse
