The little envelope is flashing, telling me I have unread private mail. I have gone to my profile area where previous mail, sent and received is listed, but I cant find anything new. I have tried refresh, help appreciated.

Is the problem still there? It sounds like a technical glitch to me! Sometimes clearing your browser cache solves problems like this. As a last resort, you could delete all old mail, received and sent, and give yourself a clean sheet to start the record again Hope that helps.
