Hello all:
I've been doing quite a lot of reading on Vitamin B 17 or laetryl. There are a lot of literature advocating the effectiveness of Vit b17 in fighting cancer cells. Has anyone ever used it or know someone who has and that person recovered from cancer? I am contemplating using it myself. Any advice? Sharifah http://hiduplama.blogspot.com "Life is too short" |

Hello Sharifah
Past discussion: Laetrile Hope that helps. Hello Sharifah,
Caught up with your blog and am so impressed by your determination and the support you get from your family and friends. To put it very bluntly, Americans who desire alternative treatment have been dying with laetrile for a few decades now - it just doesn't seem to go away! It was particularly big in the Seventies when lots of Mexican clinics were offering it, but with the lack of reliable statistics and studies (only anecdotal information: "My mother-in-law's best friend's boyfriend's sister was completely cured!") laetrile went away, only to come back every decade or so. I value these two websites for their information on questionable treatments and supplements. They're not totally dismissive of non-pharm alternatives; they praise the good stuff too. The first is Quackwatch, a watchdog organization and the second is from Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center (New York). The Rise and Fall of Laetrile Sloan-Kettering on Laetrile Best of luck to you. I'll try to keep up with your blog. As I told you earlier, I lived and worked in Malaysia and have a very warm spot in my heart for your country. Considering it's nearly on the equator, it's a VERY warm spot! I hope to go back to visit coworkers in the next few years and who knows? Maybe we can get together for dinner and discuss the great progress we've made. Mimi |

Hi Mimi,
Thank you so much for your feedback. How are you doing now? For me, I am still waiting for the biopsy report from the hospital and I am freaking out! I am really scared to through another operation especially the post operation effects. I was told by my doc that there will be further complications if they have to perform another operation. The swelling is still there. Still refused to go away. I hope that we can meet someday. Would be fun to talk about our ordeal and how we beat cancer. Bye.
