Hi I thought you might like to browse our support group website and hopefully it might inspire some of you to set up your own support groups as I think there are not many around for our particular problems I.e face, neck & oral cancers yes we all know about breast, testiclar & prostrate cancers very embarassing but what about the people who can hardly go out of the door because of facial disfigurement and some who can hardly speak or eat in "proper company"
www.facefax.org.uk
we have also designed an awarenss pin no not the usaual ribbon that hopefully will be on sale through the website in the near future.

Hi Derek

Thanks for coming over, and welcome Smiler . Thanks for letting us know about the FaceFax website. I have seen it now. It is great that you have set up a support group in the Northampton area. There are not many support groups around. Ideally, I would like to see many local support groups about.

I would like to invite the members of your group to make use of the message board and forum here. The more members we have posting, the greater the resource we create for those who need answers that only the members can provide.

I hope you and your group will contribute with ideas on setting up support groups. Your experience will be invaluable.

When I get the time, I will create a special page that will list all local support groups and their contacts and links to their websites. I envisage the RDOC website (or whatever it gets called eventually) to be an umbrella resource for all cancer patients with oral complications as a consequence of their treatments.

Best wishes
Vinod :coffee:
