my tongue has been troubling me for weeks now,it feels like it has been scalded by something hot.its got lumps like a chain of them all down the centre.i have seen my g.p today but he is stumped checked my meds incase something there was causing it but no.any taste buds that i had have totally gone.i just came away with some more difflam.i cant even enjoy my bowl of soup that i used to have every day,its seems its one thing after another with me lately. love shirl xxx

Hi Shirl, it's really crap when you go through a bad patch but hopefully it will pass soon and things'll pick up. Hope you get to the bottom of the latest problem. Hagg.

Hi Shirl, are you able to provide any progressive data on your case, is it getting better at all. Myself, well I thought simply a blister on mine. Maybe worthwhile pestering your GP for, at the minimum, some plan of action to resolve your issue. Keep us posted, meantime best wishes Nigel

no nigel its not getting better,well actually i got to thinking about it and i am wondering if its the biotene gel that i'm using at night.i ran out of it for about 6 days and the swelling went down and my tongue was not so sore.now i have started using it again the problem has started up again so i am thinking maybe i should stop using it again and see what happens.i am going to go back to sipping water through the night and using the glandesone spray.i will keep you informed on the outcome.love shirl xxx

shirl funny you have mentioned the biotene gel i have used it for the last two days and my tongue is full of ulcers and very sore i had run out of the glandosone spray which i usually use i will stop using the gel and see hoe it goes

yes we could be on to something there then bev,it doesn't say on the box if there are any side effects with it.i have been using tonight the biotene moisturising liquid.and my tongue has improved a bit.i keep waking up with such a dry mouth that once again i am downstairs drinking coffee which just tastes like hot water with no taste buds,hope your tongue improves let me know.love shirl xxx
