I have posted a message on this board before about the operation I had after being diagnosed with tongue cancer. I went for my routinely monthly check up last week. My consultant found that a clip had come loose between my new tongue (flap) and old tongue. One of the registrars removed the clip but also took a biopsy, as around this area the tissue looked suspect there was an ulcer. I am little scared, I'm hoping that the tissue has just been a little damaged due to the clip and that the ulcer is the result of this too and that it is not cancerous. Has anyone had this experience too? I get my results on Friday.

Hello Clare
A loose clip would irritate the surrounding tissue and ulcerate it. The biopsy is a reasonable precaution. Enjoy today's nice weather We can only take one day at a time and do our best each day with whatever hand we are dealt with. It is the same for all of us except that most people don't think like that because they haven't been made to look in the mirror of life, yet. Now smile, and let Friday take care of itself Best wishes Vinod Disclaimer: Please see your own dentist/doctor for a proper diagnosis as my words should not, in any circumstances, be taken as dental/medical advice.
