Just thought I'd update anyone who's interested in how well I am doing. It has now been a year since everything 'kicked off' and 7 months since end of treatment. My taste buds are pretty much 'normal' just one or two things now taste horrible unfortunately wine being one of them!

I can now eat toast (slowly) my husband and I went on holiday to Rhodes, greece and I didn't have any problems eating at all so that was quite a big milestone.

I'm back at work and was top salesperson in my company in July so it just goes to show cancer isn't always THE END and it can be a new beginning. Best regards to everyone out there.

Rosie

HOW VERY TRUE ROSE!
All too much we hear about the tragic stories, and YES they are tragic, but we very rarely hear about the success stories. I like yourself have a bright future, yes I still have problems and I still have to attend the hospital which is a 90mile round trip for me, but last year it could've been so different.
As a singer the dry mouth is a constant problem for me, but I am trying to compensate with lots of water on stage. My voice isn't what it was, but hey last year I was told I wouldn't sing again.
Toast, bread and chicken are my problem foods, my children laugh at how long it takes me to eat one slice Smiler but its a big step forward for me to even swallow it!

So heres to the future
Best wishes

Tracey
