Hi i am new to this site, i am a 29 yr old female non-smoker who has just discovered a small bump on my hard palate and i am so scared that its cancer and i dont know how long its been there, i made a dental appointment but the waiting is making me crazy!! can anyone offer and advice on if this is normal on the palate or how cancer starts there, if its common....sorry so many questions.

I would go to the hospital and demand a referral to the ENT dept, I saw seven doctors before Charing Cross London, got me in a scanner, and informed me I had throat cancer, I am a none smoker and only drink a little wine, please please get it checked out. Garance

I am in agreement with Garance, take no chances with this. They say the sooner the better, I say go as soon as you notice anything strange. I pray that this is nothing and that you are just fine as ever. Please try not to worry yourself to much over this. If your appt. is to far away call them everyday and see if there has been a cancelation. Call in the a.m. first thing and tell them that if they do get a cancelation to please call you and you will take that appt. Hey whatever it takes.I will be waiting to hear back from you. awwwwwww, now i am scared!!! garance, how did your cancer start and what were your symptoms? my girlfriend had cancer of the tongue and she had to have some cut off i felt so bad for her we had both just had our first babies and here she was dealing with that, but she is ok, she talks weird though...i dont remember how hers was found though.
