In reading through various posts, I've come across this word and talk about a 'flap' caused by r/t.
I'm trying to educate myself and get prepared for whatever may come up once Trevor starts his chemo and r/t and it seems there is always something else .......
I'll appreciate all info.
Thanks
Deborah

The definition of a dulap ... when described on here... is the floppy bit of skin your left with under your chin. You sometimes get a build up of fluid under there, due to the traumer or inadequate lymph drainage. It gives a double-chin kinda look, even when your weight drops. I always had a defined jaw line, but since R/T it's not so tucked up. Mines worse in the morning but tends to drain away by the end of the day.
On here we coined the phrase "dulap" - like the skin a lizard parades under its chin to attract a mate. It's a pet name! Big Grin

Thanks Chelle
Actually I've read so much from so many different areas on the site (and since I'm a computer/internet dunce!) I can never remember how I got to where and exactly what I read. However I think it may have been one of your posts where I first read about the dulap and then last night I was reading an old posting of Vicki Lynn's and she was hoping to have the 'flap' removed, relating it to r/t. I thought, 'Oh no! Not something else we haven't heard about and therefore aren't expecting'!!!
This roller coaster ride is certainly full of surprises!
Actually since Trevor had his neck dissection he's a bit 'wobbly' under the chin so I guess that's a standard part of the whole experience.
Live and learn!
Thaks again
Cheers
Deborah

Michelle sweetheart,
You are a walking talking encylopedia. You ought to have played the game - "who wants to be a millionare" and I would really have loved to see you win a great deal of the money if not all - and thats no joke. I read a lot and always think I have great general knowledge but trust me - you are far, far above me ( and that is a very diffcult feat to have acehived!!Smiler).

How come no messages for me from all my female following - everyone seems to be either upset with me or have decided to boycot the site.

Hey - all you ladies come on - come back and post some of your heart warming messages as the site is really running short!

Love,
Ananth

Hey Ananth ~ I could suggest that you too are boycotting the system (or perhaps you have preferred women you wish to hear from! Aha)
I posted a (belated) response to you in "Introduce Yourself" last week but have I had a response?????? No, not one word from you!
You aren't ageist I hope and only go for the young, pretty ones like Chelle?
Cheers from Downunder
Deborah

Hey Deborah,
I thik the "flap" Vicky Lyn was referring to would be a free arm flap. Which is different.
That's like a skin graft they take from the arm to reconstruct another part of the body (ie: tongue). The dulap is R/T induced. Not surprised you're confused!

Ananth, hun... i think the correct term for me is "Jack of all trades, Master of none" *lol* Wink& you're FAAAAR wiser than me!

Take care guys,
Michelle
