Hello Brenda

Please thank your daughter’s friend, Joanna, who has very kindly offered to do the Great North Run this year in aid of the Mouth Cancer Foundation. I understand that her dad has promised a bottle of whiskey to the person who guesses her finishing time and donors are encouraged to put a time in the comments box.Smiler

Now, that's an incentive!Thinking

Good luck to her.

Best wishes
Vinod Coffee (sticking to tea, for now)

Dr Joshi, Do you have any plans to produce a MCF pin badge? I know the BDF have their own and I have bought many in the past but feel sure that lots of memebers would like to wear 'their own' logo badge (and buy them for friends and family) to help raise awareness. Just a thought! Brenda.

Hi Brenda, were you thinking of a pin badge with the MCF logo? We did think about having badges, but thought wristbands were more popular at the time...

Still badges have not been forgotten about...I'll look into it.
Regards, Geeta

Hello Geeta Yes, I did mean badges with the MCF logo. I am having a charity day in the house during MCA week and have ordered a box of the ribbon type. It would be nice to have the Mouth Cancer Foundation ones as that is what I am raising awareness and funds for. I personally would prefer to wear a badge rather than a wristband and feel they would be better received by family, friends and anyone wishing to support the cause. Maybe next year? B.

Great North Run
Joanna completed the run in 3hrs 09mins and so far has raised nearly £300 for the Mouth Cancer Foundation. I will let you know who won the bottle of whisky when I get all the forms back in.

A big thank you to those who supported her on my justgiving page: www.justgiving.com/brendabrady - it's not too late for anyone still wishing to donate! Many thanks. Brenda x

Hello Brenda

Please thank Joanna for us. I hope she enjoyed the Great Noth Run . It looks like there was a great crowd of people who took part and had fun. Ask her if she has a photograph of herself at the run; it would be nice to see our runner!

Best wishes
