SPREAD THE WORD AND TELL EVERYONE... ANYONE IN THE UK AGED 16 TO 30 YEARS OLD CAN ENTER! WE'RE LOOKING FOR THE BEST SOLO SINGERS, GROUP SINGERS, SOLO COMEDIANS AND TEAM COMEDIANS! IT'S THE MOUTH CANCER VOICE AWARDS!

The Mouth Cancer Voice Awards has just officially opened for entries and we're raising great awareness of the risk factors (smoking, drinking and HPV) as well as the symptoms of mouth cancer amongst everyone in the UK, especially University and Higher Education students by reminding them not take their voice for granted, as the 'voice' can be lost through mouth cancer.

The event will take place leading up to and during Mouth Cancer Awareness Week. We're looking for individual and group singers and comedians who can entertain with their voice. At the Grand Final on Sunday 18th November 2007 (marking the end of Mouth Cancer Awareness Week) the finalists will perform at our central London venue in front of a live studio audience and a celebrity-packed panel of judges to win the prize of a lifetime.

Hi Everyone

Just to let you know that I've set up a group called "Mouth cancer voice awards 2007" on Facebook to help raise awareness of mouth cancer to the younger audience. The group is slowly picking up members. If you know anyone who is an active user of Facebook, tell them to join this group. The group page points you to the MCF voice awards webpage on how to register for the talent contest, and MCF justgiving site, as well a mention of the MCF webpage.

My daughter was telling me about the group today as she has joined, she uses Facebook A LOT! She is busy spreading the word to her friends and around the Uni.

That's fantastic Lorraine...I'm sure your daughter is doing a great job with the younger groups.

I've also set up a new MCF "cause" on Facebook. I'll be spreading that around soon. People on Facebook can show that they support the MCF on their page by joining the cause.

We've just come back from the dental showcase at the Birmingham NEC pushing the awareness of the MCF to all the dentists and health professionals. Our team has been there for the last 3 days and I'm sure we've made an impact this year
