I have a strange mark on the roof of my mouth. It is kinda black small...about an eigth inch with a white ring around it. It looks kinda like a small scab or something. It is slightly sore to push on it. It is off to the right side beside where my teeth would be...they have been removed some years ago...there are some small reddish bumps close to it. I am sitting here trying to convice myself it isn't cancer! Any advice Dr.Joshi? I'm very worried!

Sorry, I am unable to tell you what it is. It is unlikely to be a cancer. I suggest you watch it over the next few weeks to see if it resolves on its own. A cancer would tend to grow bigger and/or ulcerate and become uncomfortable. Some warm salt mouthwashes might make it feel better. If it doesn't get better, please see your dentist for a diagnosis.
