I have had a lump in my neck from about december last year, I visited the doc who asked me if I wanted to visit the local ENT clinic, which I did, no biopsy was done, and I have been told to return to the clinic in 8 weeks. I am really worried about this, none of the Doctors seem to be though. I do have a few bad teeth (fear off the dentist ) and the docs are putting seem to be putting it down to infection. I done agoogle search on neck lumps (maybe not the best thing to do) which has made me feel worse! I have made an appointment with the dentist in the mean time!

Let your knowledge gained ( from almighty Google) about neck lumps enable you to take positive action in your own interests......... like seeing your dentist to eliminate (treat) any infection and advice you on your neck lump.

Most dentists are nice people and wish to help. Modern dentistry is not uncomfortable but a childhood experience can often create an unfair bias against all dentists!

If your lump is unrelated to your teeth, your dentist should be able to refer you to an Oral & Maxillofacial Unit - most neck lumps get seen pretty quickly .
