Why am I being sick now?

Hi everyone

I finished my 35 rads 10 weeks ago - no chemo and no PEG. I didn't get sickness/vomiting during treatment, but now I've suddenly started being sick every day and have a constant headache. I know rads can cause vomiting , but why now after 10 weeks?
I'm not eating much anyway as my throat is still too sore, but that is nothing new. I'm off the Oramorph and have reduced my Fentanyl patch to 50mcg from 75mcg, but that hasn't made any difference. I'm starting to worry myself that maybe the cancer can spread to the stomach. I know I will probably have to go to the Hospital, but I don't want to be fobbed off with more pills and no reason as to why this has sudenly started when I felt I was slowly getting better.
Please can anyone help

Cheers

Sandy

Hello Sandy
Sorry to hear you aren't well especially now you have your treatment behind you.
I hope by the time you have read this you have already taken yourself off to be checked out. Don't second guess and worry yourself over what 'might be' because it might 'actually' be and you have wasted precious time. If it isn't (and surely it's not!), you'll at least find peace of mind. Be kind to yourself and get the reassurance you need.
Thinking of you from way down here ....

Hi Deborah

Thanks for your quick response.

Yesterday, I felt better and wasn't sick so thought maybe things are getting better now. Then last night I was sick twice, so I'm going to try and get in touch with the Specialist Nurse today.

Probably unreasonably, I just get the feeling that once I got to 6 weeks after treatment, they're not that interested anymore and can't spare the time as they've got all the new ones to deal with.

Also, because I've had a kidney transplant, I can't just take "general" advice and I just don't want to be passed from pillar to post, it's just so exhausting.

Sorry to rant but the last couple of weeks have made me feel so fed up.

Cheers

Sandy.
