Hello there,

Recently I have become extremely worried as last week I noticed a lump under my tongue.
-It is on the right hand side, in the part of the mouth where the underside of the tongue connects to the floor of the mouth.
-I would say the shape it mostly resembles is a bean (around the same size as well).
-It is hard to the touch, however, it moves around upon touching it.
-It is the color of my mouth but there is a small white line on its underside where it is "sitting".
-It is not painful, nor does it interfere with my eating or speaking abilities.

I have called my doctor and booked an appointment for next week. I have done a lot of reading recently and know that a biopsey is to be done no matter what in order for a proper diagnosis. I am extremely worried though as it seems most of these lumps mean cancer. I have been a smoker for the past 8 years, and although I am only 29 years old, I do know that cancer can sometimes be diagnosed in younger patients, especially if they are smokers. I was just wondering (while I wait nervously for my appointment) if you could give me your thoughts on what this tongue lump may be? I know cancer is a definite concern, but could it be something else? If so, what else do you think it might be? Any information or opinion would be greatly appreciated as I'm trying to ease my mind in knowing that it may not be cancerous.

Also, I was wondering if mouth cancer lumps normally take on a similar shape, size, or appearance. Also, is there a spot they are most likely found on?

I know this was a long time ago but I have the exact same thing, did you find out what this was?
