scar on my lip? Will it go away?

On my upper lip, there is a spot where I always get dead skin (white skin, that sometimes hangs off of the lip, and I always bite or peel it off)

And now I have a scar (a noticeable deep marking) that appears when ever I peel the skin off. The skin grows back, but soon enough if it gets moist, it puffs out, gets white, and peels.

What is this? And will my lip ever be unscared, or normal?

Hi Alek

You don't give us a lot to go on, so it's really hard to say what this might be. How long have you had this? Do you get cold sores? Have you been seen by either your GP or a dermatologist?

Please let us know how things turn out.

Julia

Well i've had it for maybe a year? I dont get cold sores, and I havnt seen a doctor about it. I just think its from the skin peeling, and me ripping it off. When I tear it off, there is a pretty deep scar left. And then the skin grows back to cover it, but it gets moist and peels off again, causing me to rip it.
