Hi everyone,Sue here Daves wife. Only one day to go and treatment is finished. Dave has an awful taste in his mouth we know it is a side effect of the treatment but does anyone know of anything we can put in the water he is managing to drink to freshen his mouth and at least take some of the taste away. I have asked the hospital but they say it is a side effect of treatment.

Thanks
Sue

Hi Sue"
Yep unfortunately i also suffered with "chemo mouth"! It switched between metallic and medicinal.
I found a teeny drop of black current cordial or a teeny drop of peppermint cordial in my water helped a little to freshen the mouth as water alone was too neutral. Nothing acidic like lemon or orange though. Also, Robinsons Cherry High Juice. But a very tiny amount literally just to take the edge of the water. Good luck & well done for the last R/T session tomorrow!
