Hello,

I recently noticed about a month ago after a swollen uvula their were 2 bumps where the uvula meets the roof of my mouth. Their not discolored in any way and do not cause any pain. I went to see an ENT but was limited to the Physicians’ Assistant she said it wasn’t anything unless it gets bigger. I’m writing this because I have an extreme fear of cancer and would like another opinion if this is something I should be worried about?

Hello KovyKing

There are many causes for bumps in the mouth. Your are probably not a mouth cancer but you should watch for signs that it might be. Hence the advise you were given. While I can't give you a diagnosis over the Internet, you could post a photo here and I will help if I can, on condition that you reduce your drinking Wink. Read the latest study: 'Alcohol and Cancer'

Best wishes

I have just noticed several bumps located near my uvula. They radiate pain off and on and I've had a bad cold recently. My wife (who is an RN) thinks it's viral. The largest bump looks about the size of an eraser head. Scares me, not sure how long I should wait before seeing my ENT Dr. As a side not, I do use dip daily and yes, I know it's very bad for me.
