Lumps on inside of upper and lower lipsGo ![]() | New ![]() | Find ![]() | Notify ![]() | Tools ![]() | Reply ![]()
For the past few months I've noticed that I have lumps on the inside of my upper and lower lips. The lumps are unable to see if I open my mouth and look, but I do notice them when I touch them with my tounge. Some are very tiny and some are larger. They do not cause any pain and I did notice that one did get larger in size the more I messed with it. I've read many articles trying to find out the causes of these little bumps and I've asked my doctor who said they're more then likely just bumps that have occurred from me biting my lips, which i tend to do a lot. Please help me! I'm totally stressed over the situation and would love to have some peace of mind!

Hello Rann It is difficult to make a diagnosis over the Internet. Suffice to say that you don't seem to be describing a mouth cancer. It might be a sebaceous gland (Fordyce granule) but I really could not say. Please see your dentist and ask him/her to tell you what these lumps are. Meanwhile try not to worry too much about it. Do let us know how you get on. Best wishes Vinod Disclaimer: Please see your own dentist/doctor for a proper diagnosis as my words should not, in any circumstances, be taken as dental/medical advice.
