Hey, I'm really worried. I have had hoarse throat for like 2-3 months now. I've also discovered a small lump in my neck just below my larynx ( I think). I'm really scared, could it be cancer? I'm only 17, I hope it's not it. Frowner

Welcome--helloall, Oh I pray that this is nothing at all, you are much to young to have to deal with oral cancer or cancer of any kind. Please make a appt with a doctor asap and get to the bottome of this, since you are so young perhaps have your parents take you. Please go tho, no matter what...Let us know and try not to worry until we have something to worry about, Okay,,,Always Vicki Lynn

God, is throat cancer even possible at that age? Frowner

I've met the doctor a couple of times these months and they told me I had asthma and that I was allergic to something. Maybe it's true, they gave me some medecine called """Flovent Diskus""" once, I took it for 2 week and it did not work. I waited a bit and got another appointement. They gave me another one but more concentrated this time. This one helped for the time it lasted but now that I took it all, It's as bad as it was before. I've never showed them the lump though because they inspected my throat and did not say anything about it, so I thought to myself that it couldn't be that bad but now, I'm really starting to wonder...
Maybe they just did not see it or it wasn't big enough at the time? ( I don't even know if it's growing, I hope not..)

Damn Frowner

Helloall, CANCER knows no age. I didn't mean to assume that this is what you have. I just think that anything that has been on your body for 2 weeks or more should be checked out no matter what it is or where it is at. So calm down and don't get all upset until you have a reason to be. AND WE ARE PRAYING THAT YOU NEVER HAVE A REASON TO BE UPSET!!! Okay? We are here tho if you need us, no matter what. Always Vicki Lynn
