I work for a company called AAH Legal and we are looking into starting an action against tobacco companies to claim for those who are suffering from cancer due to smoking. We are in touch with one of the leading QC's in the country to help our case. We need to hear from people who:
1) Were born in the early 1960's
2) Started smoking around 1978
3) Have contracted cancer

If you wish to enquire about the possibility of making a claim please call us on 08007873950 or email us at info@accidentassisthelpline.co.uk
If you call please ask to speak to Mr Paul Taylor or Miss Jill Shore.

Thankyou

What Legal company should I approach, my throat cancer was deemed the classic cancer of the heavy smoker, I have never smoked or frequented smoky places, infact I have been unable to go anywhere near smokers; how can smoker's sue tobacco companies, when none smokers get the same type of cancers???????????????????? There has to be other reasons !!!!!!!!!!!!

DITTO to what Garance said.

My husband was dx with tongue cancer in Feb 04 and died in Dec 04.

He had NEVER EVER EVER EVER smoked in his entire life (aged 33). He didn't frequent smoky places either. In fact he hated smoke and did his level best to avoid it wherever possible.

The assumption that ALL sufferers of Oral cancer are smokers, so therefore 'at fault', quite frankly is very tiresome.

I find this post from an accident insurance company offensive. Should it even be here?

I too have never ever smoked and am just wondering who exactly is likely to profit here from the litigation that might ensue for cancer sufferers having smoked. Might it be the percentage the insurance company always picks up or might eventually pick up from the many claims that might follow a successful outcome.

I am sick to death of adverts on telly and in my postbox inviting me to claim for an accident or situation such as this post is inciting. The last place I expect to see it is in this forum.

Noone forces a smoker to smoke and noone forced me to never smoke ever. This is simply a choice - you choose to or choose not to. I resent of course the fact that smokers have polluted my atmosphere. Most of all I resent the continued propagation of the myth that smoking gives you oral head and neck cancers. Yes it does for some. But not for everyone and I hate being bundled together with the smokers.

Tiresome is exactly the correct word spouse.

Hi

You have said it all. I could have deleted the post but it would not have given you all the chance to voice your feelings about these 'litigation specialists' and 'ambulance chasers'. That reminds me of this joke:
Did you hear about the lawyer hurt in an accident?
An ambulance stopped suddenly.

Best wishes
