tonsil stone?

I suffer from very enlarged, painfull tonsils about 5 times a year, my doctor tells me there is nothing she can do. Yesterday I looked at them and discovered a white spot I touched it and I seemed to come away I then felt as though I had a hair at the back of my throat so I looked again, there was a dark hard mark, which I scraped and a tiny stone came out - an actual stone. Is this something I should be concerned about?

Hello Angis

ask your doctor to refer you to an ENT specialist for advice on tonsil stones or do a search on the message board for previous posts on tonsil stones.

Best wishes
