everyone is ok. i am encouraging dad to take car rides and go for walks and get used to being "strange" for right now. this is because right now he has wicked looking stitches in his neck, and he is really staying couped up in the house with us, and i want him to let go of his old self and embrace the new, and do it among people, so that he has some confidence and sense of current events when this crap is all over. he used to be a very high ranking army official and so this is a big adjustment for him. how is your dad? your saying "just keep trying things until you find something that works" is going to be a huge thing on many levels for everyone. in a worst case scenario, when papa is really feeling down, it will distact him from the "now" and put his mind onto what's next. i hope he won't need too much of that. how are you?
