Does anyone have any idea's to try to gain weight while on a feeding tube. My husband has tried just about everything. He blends up food and adds it to the Jevity that he uses in his feeding tube but is still loosing the weight

I've been given Nestle's Nutren 2.0. to help gain back some weight I had lost. (I've been on peg feeding since the operating in Dec 04). Nutren 2.0 has 500 calories and 20g protein per 250ml. It also comes in a 237ml soft sided package. It's pretty thick, so I thin it with water for the gravity feed.

I would think any pharmacy would order it for you. That's how mine works, I give them 4 days notice and they deliver. There is a number for Nestles 1 800 422 ASK2 (2752)

I also use another brand called Resource 2.0. it's 237 mL and 475 kcal 21.3g protein. It's made by Novartis, out of Mississauga, Ont., sorry no phone number. But it does say imported. /www.novartisnutrition.com. it's in a softpack container (like juice) so very easy to haul around.
