Does anyone out there have problems with water burning or causing one to cough or burp? After my radiation treatments, drinking water caused my throat to burn. Now I can drink water during the day, but at night it causes me to cough and burp and sometimes creates a kind of acid reflux type situation. It's so important to drink water and my mouth is so dry at night. Has anyone tries Thick-it with water? sounds horrible. Help. I'd like some opinions, advice or comments. Please help. I worry about how I'll get enough water when I'm off my peg tube.

Hi Laurel, sorry but I never had that problem. Only problem I've had is swallowing water due to swelling in my throat. Sometimes I do have to clear my throat after having a swallow of water or tea though, but that's to clear the mucous that drinking pulls down into my throat.

Hope someone can help you with this better than I can! Banghead

Best Wishes, Cricket
