Hello baldo

Never seen anythying like it! Thinking A single swelling adjacent to the molar with a large filling would have made me (still) suspect an infection (abcess i.e. pus filled swelling) from a dead nerve in the tooth. If it is vesicular (fluid filled), it could be a viral infection. See your dentist and get the tooth tested for vitality and get a dental x-ray done. Let us know whst it turns out to be. I don't think it is a mouth cancer.

Best wishes

You were spot on Dr. Joshi. I went to a dentist, got some x-ray done and the pus filled bumps turn out to be infection from a dead nerve in the tooth with large filling. The filling blocks pus from coming out through the inside of the tooth, so it spreads sideways. So the dentist drilled out the filling to release the pressure and burst open the bumps to let the pus out. I am taking anti-inflammatory medication now.

Thanks Doc!

Um, Well this is an old post as I can see, but I google searched and it came up.

I have exactly what he has, or rather, my problem is the exact same as his, cavity, my dentist last time talked about it needed to be removed at some point. Well, im guessing its same as him.

is there any way to kill the pain? i'm a 17 year old, my parents know and are going to get me an apointment as quick as possible, but our dentist is usually taken up for a week or so every time we've tried. and the pain of it is intense, but its just that one spot, it made my mouth swell up from the cavity and the pain. What do I do?

Thanks if anyone can help

Hello Sphere

Most dentists will see patients in pain as an emergency and your dentist could give you some antibiotics for an infection and analgesics for pain.

Best wishes

I think I have the same problem...I hope. Im very worried. I had a bad tooth that fell out and I didnt bother going to the dentist because Im a chicken. However, years later I noticed a bump/lump apper last year on the outter part of the gum on the very top where the tooth fell out. It doesnt hurt and its not always the same size. sometimes when I touch it with my touge it feels like it shurnk and then sometimes its smaller then a pea. is it pus from the rotten tooth that fall out? what is it i am very worried.

PLEASE go to the dentist! What's left of the tooth could well be infected, and this can lead to all kinds of problems. Inflammation, lumps/bumps and the possibility of pus all indicate that there's something wrong.

Hoping for the best for you.
