I'll cut right to the chase. I am a 17 year old male, non-smoker. at the location of my 2nd premolar right below the gum line, but above the floor of the mouth, i have a lump the size of a medium sized BB pellet under the skin. It is hard, yet I can push it with my tongue and it will move around, sort of like theres a BB pellet rolling around under the skin. No discoloration, no pain, no bleeding etc. Is it safe to say that these symptoms dont match significantly with those of oral cancer? I am aware that most lumps in the mouth that move around are noncancerous. Any ideas what it is? been there for about 2 months, no noticable increase in size.

Hello USMC2009 From your description, it appears unlikely to be a mouth cancer but you need to see your dentist for a proper diagnosis. Do let us know what it is. Thank you Dr. Joshi, much appreciated. I will soon be scheduling an appointment to check my wisdom teeth, for what will probably result in the decision to have them pulled (They have been causing the infamous pain and pressure aches.) I will Bring this to the dentist's attention.
