papilloma discoloration

I was diagnosed with a papilloma on my uvula a few months ago, and was told it would fall off eventually. Today I noticed that the growth had a rough texture and after further inspection I could see small black spots on it. Is this what it looks like when it's getting ready to go away. What should I expect?

HI MD22,

I TOO HAVE BEEN DIAGNOSED WITH A PAPILLOMA IN THE MOUTH, ON MY UVULA...UPPER RIGHT PORTION...IT IS ABOUT 2MM LONG...I WAS TOLD THAT IT WOULD NOT GO AWAY...BY 3 DIFFERENT ENT'S! I SURE WISH MY WOULD FALL OFF BY THIS COMING WEDS...AS THAT IS WHEN I AM HAVING IT REMOVED...

I WAS TOLD BY ALL THREE THAT IS WAS NOT CANCEROUS AND THAT I COULD WAIT AND CHECK IT OUT EVERY 3 MONTHS TO MAKE SURE IT WAS "OK"...I AM THINKING...OK...SO IF IT DOES TURN OUT TO BE CANCEROUS, I COULD BE MAKING A HUGE MISTAKE NOT GETTING RID OF IT ASAP...

SO...OFF IT COMES...AM A LITTLE, OK A LOT, NERVOUS...YOU CAN EMAIL ME PRIVATELY IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO CHAT FURTHER...

BUT, I HAVE HAD OTHER WARTS AND WHAT YOU ARE DESCRIBING IS EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED TO MINE...THOUGHT THEY WERE ON MY HAND...

JO
