Small LumpGo ![]() | New ![]() | Find ![]() | Notify ![]() | Tools ![]() | Reply ![]()
I have just found a very small lump in my gum, it is next to a mouth ulcer that I have had for a few days now. I can't see the lump, it doesn't hurt and moves around if I touch it. Should I be worried?

Just to let you know I am 24, I have never smoked and am not a heavy drinker. I'm really worried now and any advice would be appreciated.

Hi It is best to see your dentist for an opinion. It is probably not a mouth cancer but your dentist would be able to put your mind to rest or refer you for a second opinion if he was concerned or didn't know what it was. Hello, thank you for your response. I have just got back from seeing my dentist and he said that he isn't concerned about the lump, and that is a blocked valve. He has taken x-rays to look at, but really isn't worried as he doesn't think it is anything sinister, which has put my mind at rest. My ulcer is also a normal ulcer which should clear up soon. Thank you.
