Worried: Lump on floor of mouth against lower jawbone....what is this?Go ![]() | New ![]() | Find ![]() | Notify ![]() | Tools ![]() | Reply ![]()
I've recently noticed a small lump on the floor of my mouth, nestled up against my jawbone. it is located next to my jaw about midway between my front teeth and molars. It is a hard lump but it is not stationary--I can move it around with my fingers. It is not painful nor is it red or swollen. I'm not sure how big it is, but it's smaller than a bb. What could this be? I'm extremely worried.

Hello rooterisu Sorry, but I can't say what that lump is but it is unlikely to be a mouth cancer. Ask your dentist about it. Do let us know how you get on. I have the same exact thing. When I read your post, I was amazed that you have the same lump in the same place, the same size and it sort of moves. Have you gotten a diagnosis? I am trying to decide what type of dr to see. please reply. scottina messer
