I am no Doctor, but I would guess there are a hundred reasons why you should get a red throat and sore mouth. Obviously, because you have found yourself on this forum, we can all read what you are thinking !!!

Make sure you see your own doctor as soon as possible, and I'm sure he can allay your fears.

Hello Janice

It is unlikely to be a cancer and more likely to be a throat infection or irritation, so relax and get some sleep. Do see your doctor and let us know what your doctor says.

Best wishes

Dr.Vinod,

Thank you so much for getting back to me,I did go see my Dr. and She said it was nothing! she said my throat looked fine... Now im no Doctor but it was red along with the inside of my cheeks she said yes the cheeks were red... she told me that dentists take care of the mouth and to go to a dentist! I said but your a doctor dont you take care of everything she said not the mouth.. ThinkingIm kinda speechless and worried that something is still wrong. Eeker I asked if it was maybe Thrush and she said no if it was Thrush you would have white patches in your mouth ... but I read online it dont always have to have white patches .. but she said no and I came home the way I went there ... upset and scared even so today the redness is next to gone away but now i have a slight cough and a strange feeling every now and then in the upper part of my chest it dont hurt it just feels like a slight pressure and then i cough a little .. its above the breast and below the throat and now my voice sounds kinda scratchy... Do you have any idea what this can be ? Im thankfull for your input and the time your taking to read my post I can use all the help I can get
Have a great Day
Janice
