Hi I am a daughter of a cancer survivor who has just told me her oral skin graft has got pale in colour and she also has a small ulcer on this, though she also had new teeth as well which ubbed slightly. She insists on waiting until her appointment in 6 weeks time and though I want to respect her wishes should I be worried and take sooner action. She had her op 1 year ago and needed no follow up treatment. Thanks in aticipation

Hi Debd Gosh, I'm more than four years out but I still go to my doctor if I have problem that hasn't cleared up in a few days. Is it possible that her new teeth are the cause of the problem? I understand wanting to respect her wishes, but I agree with you that 6 weeks is too long. She is probably scared about what might be happening. Would she object to you ringing her doctor to see if they felt she should be seen sooner than scheduled? Please let us know how this turns out. Julia Howdilly doodilly, survivorinos!

Thanks Julia I think I had already decided that phoning would be my course of action, just needed to hear someonelse say it. Will let you know the outcome , hoping its her teeth.
