I have growth in my Maxillary Sinus (I know that's not really an oral thing) that was discovered by accident when I had an MRI for headaches.

I went to an ENT who read the MRI and said there's a 1% chance that it's malignant. He doesn't think we should do a biopsy yet because it would be a minimally invasive surgical biopsy. He wants to "wait and watch" the growth and do another CT scan in 3 months.

Does anyone have an opinion about this wait and watch idea? The surgeon said he would do the biopsy if "I" wanted it done. That's a heck of a burdeon to put on me.

Thoughts please....

Polyps are common benign growths in the maxillary sinus. If the surgery is not major, as I suspect, it isn't, i would have the growth removed. No need to tempt fate, is there?

I HAD A SQUAMOUS PAPILLOMA THAT 3 ENT'S TOLD ME WHAT "PROBABLY BENIGN" AND SAID I COULD WAIT AND WATCH IT AND COME IN EVERY 3 MONTHS TO HAVE IT CHECKED...SO I HAD IT REMOVED TO BE ON THE SAFE SIDE...
