Sore spot on soft paletteGo ![]() | New ![]() | Find ![]() | Notify ![]() | Tools ![]() | Reply ![]()
Hi. I've got an appointment with my dentist for next week but I thought I'd check in here first. Yesterday I woke up with a sore spot on my soft palette. I can see it in the mirror - it's a darker pink than the area around it. Strepsils (amylmetacresol) soothes it a bit, Corsodyl (chlorhexidine gluconate) has seemingly no effect. I was eating potato crisps the night before so I thought maybe it's caused by a scratch from the sharp edge of the crisps, but now I don't know. Any suggestions? Cheers, Adrian

Hello Adrian The most likely cause is trauma (crisps)or infection (virus, etc) but let's see what your dentist says. Hopefully it will be gone in 2-3 weeks!
