cheek biting causing blood blisters and white patchesGo ![]() | New ![]() | Find ![]() | Notify ![]() | Tools ![]() | Reply ![]()
i have had an issue with my wisdom teeth for a few years now, the dentist told me years ago, i am 25, that i didn't need them removed. well now they are coming in. but tonight i saw a blood blister and foolishly scraped away at it and now there is a white patch around the blood blister. i was wondering if this was cause for concern or if i should just leave it alone and let it heal. i know that i cannot receive 100% proper diagnosis/answers here but i figured i would get some feedback. brian bigler

Hello Brian Wisdom teeth can be unpredictable. T Generally if you can keep the semi-erupted tooth area clean, it causes no bother but take your dentists advice on it. Cheek chewing can cause blood blisters and slight whitening of the chewed (traumatised) area. Leave it alone and if doesn't get better after three weeks, please see your dentist for advice. just leave it alone, avoid foods/drinks that can irritate the ulcer and let nature get on with it. and patience?
