Earlier this week I remember someone saying that their biggest problem was with sleep. Waking frequently to clear mouth and throat but can’t remember who or where posted.

Bill is currently extremely depressed. He thought that by the time he was told the scan was clear he would doing hand stands coupled with back flips out of the hospital. The reality is he is very depressed (not a word in the Bill dictionary) because after an hour or so of normality, he has to rest again. Still has no appetite and is happy with his security blanket we call Ensure. He figures his problem is that he does not sleep; he says he would give anything to have a good night’s sleep. I have ordered the Neilmed thingamy from Boots but think this may be more nasal than throat. Apart from selotapping his mouth shut does anyone have any advice on continuous sleep please?

A lot of our friends across the pond swear by the use of humidifiers to aid sleep,as they keep the air moist and stop the mouth dryness.

Hey you!
My bed time routine is this...
Brush teeth
Biotene Mouth wash
Biotene Gel (its thicker and lasts through the night better)
& as Liz said, the humidifyer is good. Central heating drys the mouth and throat even more! Dishes of water on the radiator helps.
For about 3/4months after treatment i had awful sleep patterns. It was anxiety, drugs, feeding the works!
When i was done with meds Amir put me on a course of nytol(sp?) After discussing with th pharmacist. I went through the box and it set me into a good sleep pattern. And they didnt leave me groggy the next day cuz they're not perscription.
