i have a sore that my mom call lie bumps on the side of the back of my tongue it hurts when i eat and sometimes when i talk what do you think this is and can i get rid of it? | |||

Hi. I've never heard of "lie bumps"--sounds like a condition from my great-grandmother's day. But, I digress. It's really hard to say what this might be; online diagnoses are, at best, unreliable, and tend toward the worst case scenario. Have you had this a while? Is there a broken tooth rubbing against your tongue? Do you have a tendency to bite your tongue when you chew, or, perhaps, pinch it when (if) you grind your teeth at night? For the pain, you might want to use something like Extra-Strength Sucrets, or Chlorasptic spray. The best suggestion I can offer is to see your family doctor, or (better) your dentist, if this doesn't clear up in a few days. I'm hoping for the best for you. Please let us know how it turns out.
