I too have dry mouth, and the last ear, nose ,throat guy said I would have to live with it..Salagen works very little, accompanied with hot flashes..One of the worst byproducts are bad teeth..I have had 7 cavities since finishing my treatments..which ended 1 year ago..Must pay special attention to brushing, flossing.and floride..anyone found anything that increases saliva??..If so let me know...Prays too all..Tom

Hello Paul--sorry Tom. This is your dry mouth slot. But Pau; Vicki posted today under 'General Chat' in reply to Clare asking about anti-depressants.
Tom. My problem is too much saliva. But I found that water, not ice-cold but slightly warm, gargled around the moutgh was good. I thinkl when we have inflamed throats we shpouldn't stick to ice-cold drinks. But then I find that ice-cream helps if I have a sore throat. So you don't really know!
Wow, planting cactus sounds so exotic. I planted some tulip bulbs today which sounds very tam,e in comparison!#

Regards Ishbel

Smiler Hi Tom join the club of the we won't dribble in old age, oh to lick a stamp on. Well, teeth cleaning is a must, get little brushes for in between the teeth better than floss, put paste on the brushes and pass between every tooth, never eat between meals, keep a bottle of water by the bed and drink sips, problem is you can manage about two hours without a drink, and you wake up exhausted.Swill out mouth and spit as much as you can, as it will help dryness, the artificial saliva is useless. Chew Gum all the time. Garance, Courage mon Brave
