i have seen a couple different doctors who didnt seem too concerned by it but havent had a chance to see a dentist to really get it checked out do to insurance difficulties soo, i am going to see a dentist soon here~ insurance or not!! i've worried long enough. i just wondered if anyone might be able to help me out with what it could be. it is way up high on my front gums (above a tooth i do believe to be bad). it is really hard and about the size of a large pea (maybe a little bigger)?? it doesnt seem to move around or anything, its just hard and kinda redish. its so high up if i push on my face right beside my nose i can feel it and it can be kinda irritating at times but painless. i also have been having eye irritation on that side of my face as well. i'm really worried that it could be cancer or something any advice would be great, and like i said~ i am going to see a dentist within the next week. thanx for listening

Hi! Fairygoddess, There is not much that could be said at this point in time, so until you get a report from your Dentist stay calm and keep in touch, there are a latge number of members who have found things that were unusual and a bit off and found out that they were worried over nothing and of course there are some members who were not so lucky, either way keep in touch after your consultation with the Dentist and for better or worse we are here to help in anyway posible. Hello fairygodness
It is more likely that you have a chronic reaction from a dead tooth than a mouth cancer, so stop worrying but you need to see a dentist for a proper diagnosis and treatment. Let us know how you get on. Best wishes Vinod Disclaimer: Please see your own dentist/doctor for a proper diagnosis as my words should not, in any circumstances, be taken as dental/medical advice. hey peoples. just a follow up on that suspicous bump on my upper gums. i got it checked out a couple days ago annnnd~ it is infact an infected tooth that needs a root canal causing all the hoop~la. it is always good to be cautious about these things, but dont worry too much! cause if your like me and do the whole google thing, horrible things will come up that scare you and make you think you may have cancer or something. i swear i had oral cancer and i was freaking out about it, driving everybody around me nuts!! and it was an infected tooth for crying out loud! i'm thankful for this site though, it calmed my fears alot. you all rock hard core <3

Hi fairygoddess So pleased to hear your news. I agree its best not to get too worried, but most of us can't help it! And sometimes health anxiety can be a life-saver - everyone at work was telling me not to worry about my mouth ulcer but I was right to do so. Always best to get things checked out as you did - and you can now breathe a huge sigh of relief! Love gwyn
